Friends & Family Riding in our prayers and thoughts

Gone but never forgotten RIP

A touching Poem from Tiffs Grandma

By Wendy Lee

The South Coast Bikers.

The FIRST thing we heard was a low rumble,

then the ROAR of their engines filled the air...

as in CONVOY they arrived,

(to be honest...I cried!)..

it was SPECTACULAR

and OVERWHELMING....I swear!!

These FOLK who had ridden to be with us,

were people , Tiff,

that never knew YOU....

but ON MASS  they arrived,

to take part in a ride,

in your HONOUR, Tiff.....

.......cos that’s what they do!!

To be honest,

I was getting quite nervous.

Bikes aren’t like they were in my day!!!....

but, Tony from Margate,

(who’d  drawn the short straw!)

said “just hop on!  and you’ll be okay!”

Now...

there in itself was a problem.

A body like mine just can’t ...“ Hop”...!!!

It’s years since I’ve tried,

to spread my hips out THAT wide...

so Tony’s bike.....on its side......

had to drop.🥴

Then .....without any grace,

and a red embarrassed face....

I sat ‘PILLION’ all the way to Kingley Vale.

And in AWE and AMAZEMENT

I saw those Riders,

in FORMATION,

stop TRAFFIC.....

and we stayed true to our trail.

Your Mum, Dad and kids rode in FRONT...

in a ‘Limo’....Tiff,

a ride they will never forget.

Febe read out my words,

balloons were released from this Earth,

then a presentation came.....

from a man You’d never met.

Neil had taken the time,

to make an INFINITY SIGN,

that he’d painted in your colours, Tiff.....

black and red.

Your Mum thanked him for being kind

and said......if he didn’t mind,

she’d place it.....on your grave.....

by your photo.....instead.

Then we all drove away......

to a BAR- B-CUE day,

with raffles,

prizes and cakes!

We raised money and achieved,

so that C.R.Y could proceed,

to ensure others wouldn’t face

  • the same fate.

We spoke of YOU, Tiff,

all the day,

told these folks what you’d say......

if you’d known that they’d done this for you.

We made sure that they knew,

the HONOUR was ours, Tiff, too....

and we thanked them......

as they all drove away.❤️

Amam x
